NO TURKEY!!
Turkey may be toxic to your pet. Â As much as you would like your pet to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast, turkey and all of the trimmings may cause stomach upset, diarrhea or even worse – pancreatitis (a painful, serious inflammatory condition of the pancreas).
Keep alcoholic beverages away from your pet(s). Â Alcohol is extremely toxic and may cause vomiting, diarrhea, decreased coordination, central nervous system depression, difficulty breathing, tremors, coma and even death.
No bones about it!! Â Do not give your pet(s) leftover turkey bones. Â Turkey bones can splinter and may also cause intestinal blockage. Â Instead, offer your pet Nylabones or made-for-pet chew bones.
No bread dough. Â When raw bread is ingested, an animal’s body heat causes the dough to rise in the stomach. Â As the dough expands, your pet may experience vomiting, severe abdominal pain and bloating (which is a life-threatening emergency).
