Same Day Exams and Urgent or Emergency Visits

We know pets sometimes eat things they aren’t supposed to or wake up just not acting like themselves. Occasionally, pets may also start showing worrisome or acute signs of trauma or illness. These may include:

• Unable to urinate (a cat who cannot urinate is considered a LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY!)

• Unable to pass stool

• Seizures

• Vomiting/diarrhea

• Chocolate or other toxin ingestion

• Fainting, losing consciousness, or acute onset confusion

• Ear infection

• Hot spots, allergies, and other skin issues

• Bite wounds

• Eye discharge or squinting

• Shortness of breath

• Increased thirst or urination

• Limping or crying in pain

• Bone fracture or suspected broken bones
